Steve Markus for Mayor

Public Safety: We must continue to support our public safety professionals with the training and equipment to keep our families and businesses safe.
Infrastructure: Maintenance and upgrading of city streets, sidewalks, lighting, and stormwater control. Remain one of my major goals.
Quality of Life: I want Pevely to continue to be a wonderful hometown for all of our families and an attractive place for new businesses with well-maintained parks and amenities.
Fiscal Responsibility: It’ll be my goal as Mayor to make sure that our tax dollars go further and do more for the citizens of Pevely. I’ll ensure that we are ever vigilant against waste or fraud.
Human Resources: City employees need to know that a respectful and professional work environment is maintained.
Grants: I will make sure that the city peruses all opportunities for state and federal grant monies to help underwrite projects and services.
Communications: Pevely needs local government accessible, open, and transparent to every citizen. I’ll see that all residents are kept informed and have the ability to express their views.
